Cornerstone Christian Academy models a financial partnership between home, school, and a network of financial partners. The Board of Trustees is committed to providing an affordable education to 200 inner city children. Because the average annual household income of Cornerstone families is under $30,000, financial aid is extended to each student. Here's how each partner contributes to the success and support of our students:

Home - Each Cornerstone household is required to pay tuition for their student. This year, the average tuition paid per student is $2,300. This covers approximately one-third of the total cost per student.

School - At the beginning of the academic year, the Cornerstone Board of Trustees and Administration makes a commitment to raise the funds necessary to cover the total cost of each student's education. This year, the cost to educate each student is $7,300, resulting in a financial aid package of $5,000 per student:
Total cost ($7,300)-Tuition ($2,300)=Financial Aid ($5,000)

Financial Partners - Across the nation there are over 350 individuals, churches, corporations, and foundations that give towards the cost of student financial aid ($5,000 per student), programs, and building upkeep. This year, it is our goal to receive $1,076,000 in outside contributions to cover these combined costs.
If you would like to make a contribution to Cornerstone Christian Academy, please follow instructions below. Other than mailed or online Direct gifts, complete the form at the bottom of this page, and Cornerstone's Development Office will contact you with details. Giving options include:

Direct gifts – Cornerstone accepts tax deductible gifts of cash – by check and ACH (electronic check) – and credit cards, by mail or online.

Planned gifts - In honor of Cornerstone's founder Dr. Tony Campolo, the school established the endowed Tony Campolo Legacy Trust. Bequests, Charitable Gift Annuities, cash, and other planned gifts can support the school through Tony's Legacy Trust.

IRA Rollover – The Pension Protection Act of 2006 is in effect until December 31, 2011. Individuals 70½ or older can make tax-free distributions directly to Cornerstone from a traditional or Roth IRA up to $100,000 per year.

Stock gifts – You can complete a transaction to the school’s Schwab account in 48 hrs.

Donor Advised Fund – If you set up a fund for Cornerstone students by December 31st, you can gain a tax deduction for the full amount of the contribution to the fund. Grants are paid out beginning in 2012. Cornerstone’s relationship with The Philadelphia Foundation can make establishing a fund simple.

Corporate Match - Ask your employer about how they can match your gift with a cash contribution.

United Way - Cornerstone accepts employee pledges through two United Way agencies:

United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania (www.uwsepa.org); Cornerstone is a Donor Choice Agency, #9616. Donations are designated for the Extended Care Program (after school and summer programs).

Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program - Corporate donors may qualify for up to 90% in tax credits for a contribution to Cornerstone's Student Scholarship Fund.
